U.S. flag bearer Hamlin sits 5th heading into penultimate run

Erin Hamlin's hopes of ending her Olympics on a high are alive after the American ended Monday in fifth place in women's singles luge. The U.S. flag bearer, who plans on retiring after PyeongChang 2018, will attempt to add another Olympic medal to her collection after she completes the final two runs Tuesday. She will be joined by compatriots Summer Britcher and Emily Sweeney.

Germany's Natalie Geisenberger, who set a track record Monday, holds the leading at the midway point. (Read more)

Andringa comes up short in men's moguls final

Casey Andringa fell just short in his bid to reach the podium in the men's moguls after finishing fifth in Monday's final. Andringa put together a solid final run, but it wasn't good enough to secure a medal, as Canada's Mikael Kingsbury, Australia's Matt Graham, and Japan's Daichi Hara finished in the top three, respectively. Kim cruises into halfpipe final

Chloe Kim's Olympic debut was flawless, as the 17-year-old dominated the competition to qualify for the women's halfpipe final. Before posting the highest score of either qualifying round, Kim wasn't letting the frigid temperatures get to her when she let the world know she was craving some ice cream:

While she's considered the heavy favorite to win gold, there's a good chance Kim will be joined on the podium by at least one compatriot after Maddie Mastro, Kelly Clark, and Arielle Gold also advanced to Tuesday's final. (Read more)

German biathlete wins historic double gold

Laura Dahlmeier's lead was so great by the end of the women's 10km biathlon that she had enough time to grab a German flag in the home stretch before winning her second gold in South Korea. Along with becoming the first athlete to win a pair of gold medals at PyeongChang 2018, Dahlmeier also made history by becoming the first female biathlete ever to win the sprint and pursuit events at the same Winter Olympics.
