Men's Curling Round Robin: Swedes continue to impress, Russia and Denmark require extra ends
The men's curling action continued at the Ice Cube Curling Center on Monday, with the second session of round robin play getting underway.
Following a substandard performance against Germany, Canada failed to impress against Switzerland. The Canadians were blanked 3-0 by the Swiss, until Canada finally registered two points in the sixth end, but Switzerland managed to hold on for the 5-4 win.
Norway and United States competed in their first match of the Olympic Games, after not participating in the first session of round robin play. Norway got off to a strong start, scoring five points in the first three ends, en route to 7-4 win.
Despite the win, Norwegian skip Thomas Ulsrud's tan is what captured the audience's attention.
Is there a sun in Norway that is extra powerful or how does Ulsrud keep that killer tan? Haha #fortheladies #curling #funnylittlesunglasses

Sweden recorded the biggest win of the round robin's second session. The Swedes scored four points in the eighth end, resulting in an 8-4 win over Great Britain.
Great Britain's skip, David Murdoch, continued his excellent start to the event. Murdoch completed 100 percent of his shots against Russia, and 93 percent against Sweden. Through two matches, Murdoch has managed a shot efficiency of 96.5 percent.
After dropping its first match against Great Britain, Russia continued to disappoint. Despite opening up a 5-0 lead after the first two ends, Russia couldn't halt Denmark's comeback. The Danes scored three points in the ninth end, eventually defeating Russia 11-10. The match required an extra end, as Russia managed to tie it by registering a point in the tenth end.
