Canadian skater Paige Lawrence was almost a bull rider, instead she's the cutest Olympian ever
Canadian Paige Lawrence finished her short program Tuesday with partner Rudi Swiegers, and as she stepped off the ice, she told her coaches how much fun the two had.
The Sochi rookie is making a solid play at actress Jennifer Lawrence's stronghold on greatest candid moments on live television.
"The whole time I'm like, 'I'm at the Olympics!'" Lawrence said, almost in disbelief as she went in for a hug.

The Saskatchewan native grew up the daughter of a professional bull rider, and almost followed in his footsteps.
“When I was little I would always go to my parents’ rodeos with them,” she told the Calgary Herald. “I barrel raced a bit and had a horse. I started getting really interested in (rodeo) and at the same time I started getting really interested in figure skating. In the end, I was spending my summers at the rink.”
Lawrence's joy was still visible as she awaited the marks for her and Swiegers' short program. Seems her upbringing made triple throw jumps and side-by-side spins a piece of cake.

“I look at the cowboys that I’m friends with and grew up around, they ride through anything and everything," Lawrence said to the Herald. "I kinda have that exact same attitude. I’m thankful for it. It’s made me be able to skate through a lot of things other people might not.”
The pair's score of 58.97 after Tuesday's short program is good enough to qualify for the free skate with 15 other teams.
