What ever happened to Lloyd Eisler and Isabelle Brasseur?
Lloyd Eisler and Isabelle Brasseur captured the hearts of Canadian figure skating fans in the early 1990s, winning five Canadian pairs titles and bronze medals at both the 1992 Olympics in Albertville, France and the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway.
The pair retired from amateur competition in 1994 as two of the most decorated figure skaters in Canadian history, and were inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 1996.
So, what are they up to now?
Eisler works as a figure skating coach in California. Since retiring from competitive skating, his life has included a few moments that landed him in the pages of gossip magazines. In 2006, he was issued a one-year suspension from coaching figure skating in Canada after allegedly sending sexually suggestive e-mails to a 15-year-old student in Ontario. No criminal charges were filed, and the ban didn't prevent him from continuing to coach in California.
That same year, Eisler reportedly entered into an extramarital romantic relationship with actress Kristy Swanson ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") after the two were partnered on the Fox reality show "Skating with Celebrities." At the time, Eisler's wife Marcie was eight months pregnant. Swanson gave birth to another of Eisler's children in early 2007, and the two married in 2009.
Brasseur's post-competitive skating life is significantly less scandalous. She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband, former American pairs skater Rocky Marval. Their daughter, Gabriella, won the the 2012 U.S. juvenile pairs skating championship at age 12.
Brasseur has continued her involvement with the sport that made her famous in Canada by participating in two seasons of the CBC reality show "Battle of the Blades."
Oh, and she starred in a commercial for adult diapers, too.
