Olympic record highlights Dutch podium sweep in women's 1,500m
Netherlands speed skater Jorien ter Mors skated an Olympic record 1:53.51 on Sunday to win the gold medal in the women's 1,500 meter race.
Ter Mors was joined by fellow Dutch skaters Ireen Wust (1:54.09) and Lotte van Beek (1:54.54) on the podium, while Marrit Leenstra - also from the Netherlands - finished fourth, 1.86 seconds behind van Beek.
It was the third long-track speed skating event sweep by the Netherlands, who also won all the medals in the men's 5,000 meter and 500 meter events, leaving no question about the nation's dominance in the sport.
Dutch sweep the women's 1,500m. Netherlands have won 16 of the 24 speed skating medals. Incredible.

Canadians Kali Christ and Christine Nesbitt finished 16th and 17th, respectively.
