Joining Sablikova on the podium are the Dutch, obviously. The Netherlands' Ireen Wust won the silver medal, her fourth medal of the Games, and third silver, with a time of 6:54.28. Her teammate Carien Kleibeuker, 35, who left the sport for six years only to return to compete in Sochi, took home the bronze with a time of 6:55.66. Welcome back!
The Netherlands has now won 21 speed skating medals, after adding another two on Wednesday, which is straight ridiculous. Here's why the Dutch are so good at speed skating.
Canada's Ivanie Blondin finished 14th in the event, and the United States' Maria Lamb finished last, in 16th.
