On Sunday afternoon, Calgary Flames center Mikael Backlund made good after losing an Olympic wager.

Backlund was not named to the Swedish national team that lost the gold medal game 3-0 to Canada on Sunday morning, but he did bet on his country winning.
The bet was orchestrated by Flames' locker room attendant Benny Dumaine, according to the Calgary Herald.
It wasn't just for Sunday, either.
“Give him credit,” said teammate Joe Colborne. “He came in first thing [Sunday] morning and was more than willing to pay his bets. You’ll see him walking around with a Team Canada shirt. Until Friday, he has to do that.”
