Vladislav Tretiak wants to see a Canada-Russia men's hockey final
Hockey legend Vladislav Tretiak visited Canada Olympic House on Friday, and expressed to Hockey Canada president Bob Nicholson that he wants to see a Canada-Russia gold medal game in the men's Olympic hockey tournament.
"I want Canada-Russia to play in Sochi final. It's very important," he said according to the Canadian Press, adding "I'm ready. I don't know, is Canada ready?"
Tretiak, president of the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia, also said "I like Canada very much. Because Canada is same as Russia, strong. Strong team, strong people. We're the same."
The famous goaltender helped light the Olympic cauldron during the opening ceremony.
