Tunisia secured the point it needed in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Libya to ensure the country's first appearance in the World Cup since 2006.
Although DR Congo made things interesting with a late 3-1 win over Guinea, Tunisia finished just ahead of The Leopards in CAF Group A qualifying.
Tunisia missed the past two World Cups after qualifying for three consecutive editions from 1998-2006.
The last of the fifth African nations to book a World Cup berth, The Eagles of Carthage went unbeaten throughout the entire qualifying campaign.
