England's Rashford sits out 2nd training session with knee injury
Time is running out for Marcus Rashford if he wants to feature in England's opening match at the World Cup.
Rashford has been sidelined with a knee injury that forced him to miss a second successive day of training Thursday. Jason Burt of The Telegraph reports that the Manchester United forward stayed behind while his teammates boarded a bus to England's training facility in Russia.
The injury, which occurred during the final training session before the team took off for Russia, was described by the Football Association as a "slight knock," but there are growing concerns that the knee problem could force the 20-year-old to miss Monday's opening Group G encounter against Tunisia.
Although he's not expected to feature in England's starting XI, Rashford only has two days left to convince manager Gareth Southgate that he's fit enough to come off the bench.
He did, however, provide a glimmer of hope Wednesday on Twitter:

Rashford featured in both of England's warmup matches, and was the standout performer in the country's match against Costa Rica when his blistering strike from distance proved to be the winner.
