VIDEO: Chilean supporters storm Maracana, collapse wall around media center
Chilean supporters appear a little overeager ahead of their match against Spain.
Fans ran out of patience outside Estadio Maracana and broke through a barrier, storming into the stadium and causing a wall separating the interior concourse from the media center to collapse.
They were later escorted out by security, but The Associated Press estimates there were about 100 fans involved in the breach.
"I was the lone guy standing out there (near entry to press center)," security guard Diego Goncalves told the news outlet. "All of a sudden they knocked down the fence and just pushed their way through."
