Ivory Coast midfielder Serey Die was very emotional during the national anthem before Les Elephants took on Colombia.

At first, there were rumors his father died just two hours before kickoff, but it turns out that it was 10 years ago.
An official with the Cote D'Ivoire team just told me Serey Die's father died in 2004, not two hours before kickoff.

Die played through 73 minutes with a heavy heart before being subbed off for Mathis Bolly.
