Obviously, brands who form partnerships with athletes tend to increase their exposure during major events, such as the World Cup.
They will pump out just about anything with their name/product and the athletes face paired together.

Unfortunately for Samsung, United States manager Jürgen Klinsmann opted to leave Donovan off the final roster heading to Brazil, and the 32-year-old is currently keeping himself occupied as an analyst for ESPN's World Cup coverage.
The Samsung Mobile Arabia account did, however, tweet out several pictures of athletes in futuristic outfits that are actually playing in Brazil.
But fact checking is always critical.
