Thomas Muller ended Germany's draw with Ghana lying on the pitch with blood streaming down his face - the result of a head-first collision with Ghana's John Boye - but he says he's ready to play in a crucial Group G clash with the U.S. on Thursday.

Muller tweeted out a photo of his smiling face, complete with the five stitches he received following his injury, to prove he won't let his facial injury get in the way of his World Cup campaign.

"Thanks for the many well wishes," Muller said on his official Facebook page, via the Daily Mail. "All good with me, even if I look a little like a boxer."

"Do not worry, I'm well again. My cut was expertly sewn from Doc after playing with five stitches, so I already have a clear view, even if the eye is still a little green and blue.

"On Thursday we enjoy a tough match against the USA. But what is clear: We want to be first in the group! And with your support we will make it!"
