Neymar transported via helicopter to Sao Paulo to begin recovery

A hobbled Neymar was transported by helicopter from his team's training camp to Sao Paulo, where he will recover from the fractured vertebrae he suffered against Colombia, the Daily Mail reports.
The 22-year-old star was laid out on a stretcher for the journey, including the ambulance ride to meet the helicopter.

Before taking off, Neymar raised his hand to gesture to his supporters.

Neymar reportedly won't require surgery and should return to full health, but it could take weeks before he's back on his feet and running. His World Cup is over.
