Report: Fights between fans force hundreds to flee Copacabana beach

A fight between fans during the World Cup semifinal match between Brazil and Germany caused hundreds of fans to panic and flee the world famous beach.

Earlier reports suggested a mass robbery had taken place, but police say the panic was caused by a fight among fans, according to the BBC.

A video in the report shows hundreds of fans running away from the beach and past numerous emergency vehicles as the lights flashed.
