Ahead of the Wednesday's World Cup semifinal, a minute of silence was observed for legendary Argentinian footballer Alfredo Di Stefano, who died on Monday at the age of 88 after suffering a heart attack.
Both Argentina and Netherlands surrounded the center circle before kickoff, with the former team taking the pitch in black armbands.
Despite playing for three national teams - Colombia and Spain being the others - Di Stefano never appeared at the World Cup.
