This video proves Arjen Robben isn't a cyborg, but rather a human who consoles his son when he cries
Love him. Hate him. It doesn't matter. You can't deny that Dutch forward Arjen Robben has sublime talent.
Given his skill and speed with the ball, one might be led to believe that Robben has more in common with a cybernetic organism than a regular human. However, he's made of flesh and blood, and likely puts his shorts on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us.
Evidence: After the bitterest of defeats to Argentina (on penalties) in the semi-finals of the World Cup, the best player from the Netherlands, came across the pitch to try to console his crying son.
Robben's wife was his high school sweetheart, and according to his former youth coach, Barend Beltman, once caused him to be late for training, in this amusing anecdote:
Arjen was driven and determined at a young age. He was always on time, never late. But one Friday afternoon he showed up 15 minutes past the start of practice. I asked him what was going on. "We were at the market square, having fun", he said. There were some girls with him and his friends, so I asked, "Was she worth it?" "Yes, trainer, she was", he told me. I told him to get his gear and join the training session. At his wedding, I learned the woman he met that day was now his wife and mother of his children.
Arjen Robben. Human.
