Brazil bid farewell to the World Cup ahead of Sunday's Final match between Germany and Argentina with a closing ceremony fitting of the month that preceded it.

Shakira entertained those in attendance with a musical number featuring backup dancers in Carnival-esque costumes.

Wyclef Jean, Carlos Santana and Alexandre Pires also took the stage.

Ivete Sangalo delivered a rousing performance.
