Lionel Messi wins FIFA Golden Ball award

Argentina's Lionel Messi was named the World Cup's best player after he was named the FIFA Golden Ball winner following his country's loss to Germany in the World Cup final.
Messi finished the tournament with four goals, just two shy of tournament leader James Rodriguez, and provided one assist during seven matches in Brazil.
He scored two game-winning goals to help Argentina finish top of their group after his winners against Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
