At the most buzzed-about tournament of her historic career, Serena Williams has had plenty to distract her.
And she's shown her nerves in the face of it all - the hype, the expectation, the pressure - as she tries to become the first woman since Steffi Graf in 1988 to complete the calendar Grand Slam. After dropping the first set in her third-round US Open match against upstart Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Serena wouldn't abide another diversion.
But she was plenty polite in waving off an encroaching camera as she cooled off in her changeover chair.
Then she went out and won the next two sets, closing the match by bageling Mattek-Sands in the third.
