Report: Vlatko Andonovski to be new USWNT manager

Vlatko Andonovski, who's coached in the National Women's Soccer League for several seasons, is reportedly set to become the new manager of the United States women's national team.

Andonovski is expected to be presented as Jill Ellis' successor Monday, sources told Sports Illustrated's Grant Wahl.

The 47-year-old won the NWSL title in 2014 and 2015 with FC Kansas City before taking the job at Reign FC.

Members of the national team apparently vouched for Andonovski, who worked with World Cup winners Becky Sauerbrunn and Megan Rapinoe in the NWSL.

Andonovski is now tasked with keeping the USWNT competitive after years of dominance.

Ellis won back-to-back World Cups as head coach before stepping down in October. She'll remain with U.S. Soccer as an ambassador.
