Twitter reacts as U.S. scores 4 goals in 1st 16 minutes of Women's World Cup final
The floodgates were kicked down by the United States Women's National Team at the final of the Women's World Cup.
What started as an early lead following Carli Lloyd's third-minute goal quickly turned into a slaughter, as she completed a hat trick within 16 minutes. Lloyd's third goal was off a jaw-dropping chip from the halfway line when she caught 'keeper Ayumi Kaihori wandering off her line.
By the time the interval rolled around, the USWNT were up 4-1 on Japan.
