Alexa Bliss survives 1st-ever women's Elimination Chamber match
The "Raw" Women's Championship is staying put.
In the first-ever women's Elimination Chamber match at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday night, Alexa Bliss retained her gold by defeating Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose of Absolution, Mickie James, Bayley, and Sasha Banks.
As a result, Bliss will take her title and move on to WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans on April 8.

Rose and Deville were in control early on, owning a two-on-one advantage against Bayley. Deville speared Bayley into the hard padding surrounding the squared circle as Rose looked on in approval.

Momentum shifted, though, when Banks entered the fray.

James was released shortly after Rose tapped out to Banks' bank statement submission. A six-time Women's Champion, the veteran James leaped from the top of one of the four pods and came crashing down on Deville before pinning her shoulders to the mat for the three count.

Her high-risk maneuver came back to haunt her, as Bayley drilled her into the mat with her signature Bayley-to-belly suplex moments later, cutting the field down to three.
Banks and Bayley have developed a tight-knit relationship since their days training in developmental and with the NXT brand. With this match being every women for herself, though, Banks threw their friendship aside and knocked Bayley off of a pod, despite the two having a numbers advantage over the defending champion.

Bayley came roaring back with a Bayley-to-belly off the top rope onto Banks, but before she could go for a pin, Bliss came from behind and rolled up Bayley to send her packing.

Bliss took to the air to connect with a twisted Bliss splash from the pod to the outside of the ring, taking Banks out.

As Banks attempted to climb onto a pod, Banks slammed her face directly into it. Bliss then turned her around and drove Banks' head into the mat with a top-rope DDT for the historic victory.
