The Rock confirms offer to team up with Rousey at WrestleMania 34
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's busy schedule prevented him from teaming up with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 34.
During a recent interview with KISS FM UK, Johnson said he would "absolutely" return to WWE and confirmed he was in talks about serving as Rousey's partner for her tag-team match against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
"Vince McMahon and I were talking probably about two months ago, trying to figure out what I was going to do if I went back to WrestleMania," Johnson said. "He pitched me this really great idea that involved a tag match with Ronda Rousey, who's incredible, I'm very proud of her, and Triple H and Stephanie. We were really excited about it, he and I on the phone ... We couldn't make it work this time because I was in Shanghai, but who knows down the line."
WWE also reportedly discussed a WrestleMania musical segment involving Johnson, but scrapped the idea after it was unable to get a "firm commitment" from him.
