Former WWE rivals John Cena and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be working together on an upcoming movie.
Johnson announced Monday that Cena landed the lead role in "The Janson Directive," which his company Seven Bucks Productions will be producing for Universal Studios. The movie is an adaptation of a 2002 spy novel of the same name, written by Robert Ludlum.
Johnson was initially slated to star in the movie, but due to his busy schedule, he and the studio decided it was best to move forward with him as a producer, according to Variety's Justin Kroll.
Cena recently expressed interest in teaming up with Johnson for a future "Fast and Furious" movie, saying it "would be a dream."
