Ex-WWF wrestler Tom Magee severely beaten over apparent parking lot dispute
Former professional wrestler and world powerlifting champion Tom Magee was severely beaten in front of his Los Angeles home Tuesday.
As many as six young men beat the 59-year-old Magee in what neighbors say started as a dispute over a parking spot, according to CBS Los Angeles. Magee suffered a broken jaw, broken eye socket, and concussion in the attack.
"They were literally kicking him, punching him in the face and in the head," a woman who witnessed the attack said. "To me, it was attempted murder. If we wouldn't have come out here I don't know if he would be alive. To look at his face if you saw his face right now and saw what they were doing to him, he's really lucky to be alive."
A graphic photo of Magee's injuries can be seen in the video below.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident, and arrested two men Thursday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. Magee was released from the hospital and is now recovering at home.
Magee competed in what was then called the WWF from 1986-90, defeating Bret Hart in his first match.
