Stephanie McMahon would 'love' to sign Gronk, McGregor to WWE
Stephanie McMahon has made it known that the door is open for Rob Gronkowski and Conor McGregor if either decides to make the transition to WWE.
McMahon, WWE's chief brand officer, expressed interest in signing both Gronkowski and McGregor while at an event in New York City on Friday night.
"Anybody who has a really big personality. I'd love to have Gronk in the ring. Conor McGregor, huge personality. There's a number of different women I've had my eye on as well," McMahon told TMZ Sports. "It's really about bringing in the biggest personalities with the best athletic ability, whoever can entertain and connect to our audience."
McMahon was then asked if WWE has had conversations with Gronkowski or McGregor.
"We are always having conversations," she said.
Gronkowski, who made a cameo at WrestleMania 33 in 2017, retired from the NFL last month after nine seasons. McGregor announced his surprise retirement from mixed martial arts March 26 but appeared to walk back his decision after a recent Twitter back-and-forth with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
