Zachary Madsen of Lincoln, Neb. has been charged with assault and trespassing in connection with the attack, according to The Associated Press. A judge also issued an order of protection barring Madsen from approaching Hart.
Prosecutors stated in court that Madsen told police he "felt like it was the right moment" to go after Hart.
