WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair underwent successful surgery Monday and is now recovering, according to his wife, Wendy Barlow.
"He is out of surgery and in the recovery room. Doctors said the procedure was a success! Thank you to everyone for all your prayers and support during this difficult time," Barlow told PEOPLE's Karen Mizoguchi.
The 70-year-old was rushed to an Atlanta-area hospital Thursday morning after suffering an undisclosed medical emergency. Barlow announced Friday that Flair's surgery had been postponed until Monday due to "complications."
Flair was scheduled to appear at the wrestling convention Starrcast II in Las Vegas this week, but will no longer be making the trip.
