While Simone Johnson hopes to follow in the footsteps of her father, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, she's also focused on not putting too much pressure on herself to live up to his legacy.

The 17-year-old, who',s been training at the WWE Performance Center, recently spoke to the "Swerve City Podcast" about the expectations she's faced since pursuing a career in wrestling.

"I just have to remind myself, that pressure only exists when I start comparing myself to people, when I start comparing myself to my parents," Simone said (starts at 12:30 mark).

"I was actually talking to a friend of mine about this a couple weeks ago and it was just, this idea that I want to keep getting into my head is that I'm not my parents. No one is their parents. And individuality is a gift and I just have to keep remind myself of that, that no matter what pressure, no matter what circumstances, no matter what comparisons are, I love my parents so much. I'm so proud of everything that they've done, but I am my own person. And I just have to remind myself of that, no matter what the circumstances are."

Simone was then asked what advice her dad has given her about wrestling.

"He basically just told me what I just said - 'You are your own person. Regardless if other people compare you to your parents or to anyone else, or if you compare yourself to your parents or anyone else, you are still your own person.'"

The Rock has been very supportive of Simone's wrestling journey, telling "Good Morning America" last year that he envisions her becoming a champion one day.
