Vince McMahon's net worth increases $177M during pandemic
While many businesses have been hit hard financially by the COVID-19 crisis, that hasn't been the case for WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.
An analysis conducted by a consortium of advocacy groups determined that McMahon's net worth increased by $177 million over the past three months, according to Kaitlyn Krasselt of the Middletown Press. The results are based on comparisons between Forbes' World's Billionaires List and its real-time billionaires estimates between March 18 and June 17.
With the increase, McMahon's net worth is now an estimated $1.977 billion.
WWE implemented a series of cost-reducing measures in April due to COVID-19, including the release of Hall of Famer Kurt Angle and other talent. That same month, McMahon's rebooted XFL canceled its season and filed for bankruptcy after only five weeks of play.
