Flair says WWE is building physical Hall of Fame
Plans are underway for a physical WWE Hall of Fame.
Ric Flair revealed Tuesday on ESPN's "The Jump" that the company started the process of building a structure before the COVID-19 pandemic.
"WWE is actually in the process of building a Hall of Fame - a physical structure Hall of Fame - in Orlando," Flair said. "It's been delayed, too, because of the COVID and that."
Flair, who was on the show to discuss his recent sneaker collaboration with Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard, added that WWE bought his gold robe and wants to display it in the Hall of Fame.
WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon spoke about the possibility of a physical Hall of Fame during a company shareholders call earlier this year.
"Bricks and mortar is something that, generally speaking, we, other than office buildings and office space of course, that we're not necessarily fond of, but nonetheless, again the interest in that continues to build and it's still a possibility somewhere down the line," McMahon said, according to Sai Mohan of Wrestling Inc.
