An 8-year-old boy in Pennsylvania used information shared by WWE legend John Cena during a television appearance to save his younger sister from choking.

Jaxson Demsey told WNEP-TV that he was on his way to get a haircut with his father and 20-month-old sister Lelia when he noticed Lelia choking on a chicken nugget and sprung into action. Jaxson credited Cena's appearance on the show "The Substitute" for teaching him what to do in that situation.

"It's called 'The Substitute' on Nickelodeon, and in the very first episode, John Cena was on it, and in the last part, he showed how to save someone when they're choking," Jaxson said.

In the episode, Cena went undercover as a man named Mr. Barnes to teach students how to perform CPR.

Jaxson's father, Matt, wasn't surprised to see his son come to his daughter's rescue.

"He amazes us every day, you know - some of the things he says and does, and his actions. We're simply blessed to have the child that he is, the things that he does for his family, his friends, for his little sister," Matt said. "He's a good big brother."
