Ric Flair's barbed wire bat from Foley match fetches over $19K at auction
Goldin Auctions
A barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat Ric Flair used in his "I Quit" match against Mick Foley at 2006's SummerSlam was auctioned off for nearly $20,000.
The bat - an Alex Rodriguez Louisville Slugger C271 model - had an opening bid of $3,500 and ultimately fetched $19,680 in the Goldin Auctions sale.
Flair repeatedly hit Foley with the bat during their bloody match, eventually leading him to quit and give "The Nature Boy" the victory.
Other WWE memorabilia available in the Goldin Auctions sale included Big Boss Man's nightstick from his 1988 SummerSlam match, which sold for $8,400, and a pair of shears used by Brutus Beefcake at 1989's SummerSlam that went for $6,765.
