G Cory Schneider
Heading into this season, Schneider had been one of the best goaltenders in the NHL since 2010-11, posting a save percentage no lower than .921 and a GAA no higher than 2.26. Even though the Devils aren't a great team, fantasy expectations for Schneider were high heading into the season. He has severely disappointed, though there is still plenty of time to right the ship. Grade: F
LW Taylor Hall
The move from Edmonton to New Jersey had many down on Taylor Hall heading into the season, especially given his injury history. He has missed eight games already, but when healthy, he has produced at a high rate. Grade: B+
RW Kyle Palmieri
Was Palmieri's 30-goal campaign a year ago a breakout season? Or just a fluke? Those who gambled on it being a breakout year have been disappointed. Sure, his shooting percentage is dramatically low, but he is taking far fewer shots than he did a season ago. Grade: D
LW Michael Cammalleri
Cammalleri hasn't played 70 games in a season since 2008-09, so anyone who drafted the 34-year-old expecting him to stay healthy was foolish. It's hard to be angry with the production he has given when healthy. He continues to take plenty of shots and score plenty of goals. Even if he plays 65 games, he should still score 20-25 goals. Grade: B
C Adam Henrique
Henrique potted 30 goals last season, but an inflated 20.1 shooting percentage was a major reason why. His S% has regressed to the mean this season and his goal total is suffering because of it. With so much depth at center, he is hardly fantasy-relevant. Grade: C-
C Travis Zajac
Zajac is on his way to his best offensive season since 2009-10, but that isn't saying much since his highest single-season point total over that stretch is just 48. He's a decent streaming/daily fantasy option at best. Grade: B-
RW P.A. Parenteau
Parenteau returned to fantasy relevance (somewhat) last season by tying his career-high in goals with 20. His play this season doesn't even warrant daily fantasy consideration, but expectations weren't high to begin with. Grade: C-
D Damon Severson
Severson is having a breakout season. He should easily surpass his career highs in goals, assists, shots, hits, PIMs and blocks. The 22-year-old is a very smooth skater and a great puck mover. Those who drafted him in the final rounds or picked him up off the waiver wire early on have benefited greatly. Grade: A
D Andy Greene
Greene's fantasy value stems solely from his ability to block shots. He is still blocking shots at a high rate, so it's hard to be overly disappointed despite his lack of offensive upside. Grade: C+
Player to watch - LW Miles Wood
Miles Wood was a fourth-round pick by the Devils, but he is making an impact in his first taste of NHL action. He already has four goals in 15 games and is second on the team in iSCF60 (individual scoring chances for per 60 minutes) at 5v5, per Corsica.Hockey. He is still a long way from being a must-add to your fantasy team, but he is worth keeping an eye on.
