Nets to start Mirza Teletovic and Kevin Garnett while Brook Lopez sits out

The Brooklyn Nets are reverting back to a smallball strategy with their best post player - Brook Lopez - sidelined by injury.

Nets head coach Lionel Hollins has named power forward Mirza Teletovic as his starting power forward with Lopez out, as told by Mike Mazzeo of ESPN.

Teletovic is not a bruiser like Lopez, but rather a three-point specialist, having attempted an average of 8.7 three-pointers per 36 minutes played over his two NBA seasons. He averaged 8.6 points per game last year.

With Teletovic stretching the floor at the four, Kevin Garnett slides over to the five. Garnett will likely continue to anchor the defense in the paint while Teletovic will cover rangier bigs.
