Cordoba sack Albert Ferrer, hire Miroslav Djukic as manager
Sitting at the bottom of the La Liga table with four points from their opening eight fixtures, Cordoba announced a change of manager on Monday.
Leaving the Estadio Nuevo Arcangel is Albert Ferrer, who becomes the first managerial casualty of the 2014-15 La Liga following a meeting that was held at Cordoba's offices.
Ferrer subsequently issued a statement regarding his sacking via Twitter, which translates as: "Many thanks to the fans and the city of Cordoba for these marvellous months. I am no longer your manager but I will always hold you in my hearts. Enjoy this season in the first division which cost us so much."

Replacing Ferrer at the helm is Miroslav Djukic, whose hiring was announced almost immediately after the coaching position became available.
Djukic, a Serbian-born coach who most recently managed Valencia before being sacked in December 2013, will begin working with Cordoba on Tuesday.
