Magic's Victor Oladipo returns to practice 2 weeks after suffering MCL sprain

Kim Klement / USA Today Sports

Monday brought good news for Orlando Magic fans as the NBA's regular season tip-off inches closer.

Sophomore guard Victor Oladipo, who sprained the MCL in his right knee during a team scrimmage two weeks ago, participated in the team's open practice, offering hope that he'll be ready to go when the Magic open their season in New Orleans on Oct. 28.

Meanwhile, center Channing Frye, who suffered the same injury in his left knee just a few days before Oladipo, remains sidelined

Oladipo finished second to the 76ers' Michael Carter-Williams in Rookie of the Year voting last season.
