Report: Titans to trade Akeem Ayers to Patriots pending physical

The Tennessee Titans have agreed to trade linebacker Akeem Ayers to the New England Patriots pending a physical, according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean.
Ayers is in his fourth season with Tennessee and had his best campaign in 2012, when he posted six sacks and more than 100 tackles.
He battled knee injuries last year and underwent surgery this past offseason on both knees.
Ayers has only been active for two games this season.
The Patriots will also receive a seventh-round pick and send a sixth-round pick over to the Titans, according to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com.
