Maryland's Stefon Diggs expected to return to practice Friday

Maryland wide receiver Stefon Diggs is expected to practice Friday after missing two games with a lacerated kidney, according to Roman Stubbs of The Washington Post. 

Diggs suffered the injury when he took a hit to the midsection against Penn State on Nov. 1. 

Maryland coach Randy Edsall had said earlier in November that Diggs would be cleared for contact on Dec. 1. However, the team's earliest practice will be Friday.
