With Real Madrid one match away from claiming their first-ever Club World Cup, club president Florentino Perez admitted on Thursday that Carlo Ancelotti will receive a new contract at the end of the season.

One year will remain on Ancelotti's contract at the end of the 2014-15 campaign, but having already won a Champions League title and a Copa del Rey title since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2013, Perez expects a new deal to be completed without any issues.

"We'd be delighted to renew his contract when the season ends," Perez told Moroccan radio station El Larguero, according to The Guardian. "What is strange is to anticipate a contract renewal so shortly after taking up a position. He's aware of this and there won't be any problems. There were initial question marks about getting him in, but I always wanted him."

Perez also didn't hesitate to compare Ancelotti to two of Real Madrid's most influential coaches in the past two decades.

"I have the same affection for him as I did for Vicente del Bosque," Perez said. "He creates a great family atmosphere apart from doing a great job as coach. This is important."

He continued: "Every person has their own personality. I may like someone to different degrees as a person but have no doubts about (former coach Jose Mourinho's) virtues as a football coach."

If it sounds like Perez enjoys working alongside Ancelotti more than he enjoyed working with Mourinho, that's probably because that's exactly the case.
