Report: Clark nearing 8-figure deal with Nike
Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is closing in on an eight-figure endorsement deal with Nike, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Mike Vorkunov.
The No. 1 overall pick in this year's WNBA draft is expected to receive a signature shoe from the footwear and apparel company, add Charania and Vorkunov.
Under Armour and Adidas reportedly made pitches to Clark as well, with the former including Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry in its meetings with the Iowa standout.
Clark led the Hawkeyes to their second straight national championship game appearance, where they fell to South Carolina. The 6-foot guard led the NCAA in scoring (31.6 points per game), assists (8.9), and 3-point field goals (201) en route to another Wooden Award as the most outstanding player in the country.
In March, Clark became the all-time scoring leader in Division I history, breaking LSU legend Pete Maravich's 54-year record.
