Stevenson unifies junior lightweight titles with dominant win vs. Valdez
Shakur Stevenson defeated Oscar Valdez via unanimous decision to unify the WBC and WBO junior lightweight titles Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Stevenson (18-0, 9 KOs) handed Valdez (31-1, 23 KOs) the first loss of his professional career. The 24-year-old dominated the bout, which included a knockdown in the sixth round.

"I'm a superstar in this sport. ... Line 'em up, name 'em - I'm ready for whoever," Stevenson said, according to Mike Coppinger of ESPN.
Stevenson ended the night with an engagement after proposing to his girlfriend, according to boxing insider Dan Rafael.
