Beterbiev-Bivol rematch headlines historic Feb. 22 card in Riyadh
Artur Beterbiev will put his undisputed light heavyweight championship on the line against Dmitry Bivol on Feb. 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Alalshikh announced Monday.
Beterbiev (21-0, 20 KOs) captured Bivol's WBC title in October via majority decision to become the first undisputed 175-pound champion of the four-belt era.
Meanwhile, Bivol (23-1, 12 KOs) suffered the first loss of his career at the hands of Beterbiev.
The Beterbiev-Bivol rematch is one of several big fights on a stacked card that also features Daniel Dubois defending his IBF heavyweight championship against Joseph Parker and WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson taking on Floyd Schofield.
Dubois' (22-2, 21 KOs) last bout came in September when he knocked out former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, while Parker (35-3, 23 KOs) is on a five-fight win streak that includes victories over Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder.
Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs) is coming off a win by unanimous decision versus Artem Harutyunyan in July. Schofield (18-0, 12 KOs) last fought Rene Tellez Giron in November and also won by unanimous decision.
