Watch: Dortmund's Dembele, Pulisic team up in cup win vs. Lotte
The kids are alright.
Nowhere in the football world is that more apparent than at Borussia Dortmund, where on Tuesday, Ousmane Dembele, 19, and Christian Pulisic, 18, combined to score the opener in a DFB-Pokal quarter-final tilt with third-tier Sportfreunde Lotte.
Pulisic's second-half tally was followed nine minutes later by a second from Andre Schurrle before Marcel Schmelzer made it 3-0 as Dortmund books a semi-final date with Bayern Munich the last week of April.
On the topic of Dortmund's youth, the cup win over Lotte will also be remembered as the day Swede winter signing Alexander Isak, 17, made his debut for the club, coming on for Gonzalo Castro in the 86th minute.
