Report: Manchester United finally seal £72M Sancho transfer
Football's longest-running transfer saga appears to be nearing its conclusion.
Borussia Dortmund have accepted Manchester United's improved £72.6-million bid for Jadon Sancho, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein.
United and the England international winger will now agree to personal terms before a medical, with Sancho expected to sign a five-year contract until 2026.
The Red Devils have been linked with Sancho since last summer, though Dortmund never budged in their valuation; the German club reportedly rejected a £67-million offer from United for Sancho in June.
Jadon Sancho has been directly involved in a league goal once every 87.4 minutes since the start of the 2018/19 season.

Sancho has emerged as one of the elite English talents of his generation since moving to Dortmund in 2017 from Manchester City's academy. He's bagged 50 goals in 137 appearances for the Bundesliga side and finished the 2020-21 campaign with 13 goals in his final 21 matches.
The 21-year-old is currently with Gareth Southgate's England team at Euro 2020. Sancho made just one six-minute substitute's appearance in the Three Lions' three group-stage outings and was an unused sub for Tuesday's 2-0 last-16 win over Germany.
