Toni Kroos: I didn't learn anything at Bayern Munich under Klinsmann
To say Toni Kroos doesn't rate Jurgen Klinsmann as a manger is an understatement.
The German midfielder gave an honest assessment of the United States national team manager when asked about Klinsmann's brief spell as Bayern Munich boss.
In an interview with German publication Die Zeit, Kroos struggled to find any positives when asked to reminisce about time with Klinsmann:
"During his time at Bayern I personally missed everything: An idea of how to play football, adequate communication - and success," Kroos said, as translated by ESPNFC.
Under Klinsmann, Kroos found himself on loan with Bayer Leverkusen when the former German striker failed to provide his budding superstar enough playing time.
However, things drastically changed when Klinsmann found himself out of a job and Jupp Heynckes was brought on as manager. Kroos described him as his "most important coach" after Heynckes afforded him time on the first team, which eventually saw the midfielder thrive at Bayern before his move to Real Madrid.
