Mainz signs Austrian forward Karim Onisiwo from SV Mattersburg

Looking to strengthen the side for the second half of the Bundesliga season, Mainz has signed angular forward Karim Onisiwo from Austrian top-flight outfit SV Mattersburg.
Onisiwo, 23 joins Mainz on a transfer that expires June 2019, and will meet up with the club Wednesday in Marbella following their Swiss winter escape, according to the outfit's official website. The financial details of the transfer were not disclosed.

An emerging talent both domestically and with the national team, Onisiwo was handed his first senior cap for Austria in November during a 2-1 friendly defeat against Switzerland.
