Werder Bremen has signed Tottenham Under-21 defender Milos Veljkovic on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with the angular Swiss-born Serbian youth international joining Die Werderaner's Under-23 set-up with immediate effect.
"We have been monitoring Milos for a long time now, and are pleased that he has now joined. This transfer is an investment in the future," Bremen chief executive Thomas Eichin said Monday.
Veljkovic, 20, joined the Spurs in 2011 as a schoolboy from Swiss giants FC Basel, making his first-team debut for Tottenham in 2014 as a late substitute in a 5-1 home win of Sunderland.
